It's absolutely stunning. Huge variety of flora from all over the world. Many birds, some animals, insects, also exotic. Well kept. Not crowded. Don't trust those who leave bad reviews. The park is definitely worth visiting.

We we’re visiting in the Phoenix park with my family middle of April. Unfortunately the visiting was truly disappointment. Almost all the plants, flowers and animals wasn’t look good. There are some good services as several free toilets, one small cafeteria and some sort of picnic area. The place needs maintenance and some service before visiting can be enjoyable.

Amazing,well maintained Park! We went on Easter weekend and there were lots of things for kids, bouncy castles, play area, labyrinthine, mini zoo and tree climbing for all ages!.. you can also bring your own picnic.

I recently visited Park Phoenix in Nice and had a wonderful time. The park is enormous, offering a wide variety of sights and fascinating animals that make for an engaging experience. It's an excellent destination for a family outing or for anyone with a few hours to spare while in Nice. Be warned, you start off inside the small "greenhouse" but there is a lot to see outside as well.One drawback was that some of the tanks and glass enclosures were quite dirty, which made it difficult to see inside and fully appreciate the insects and animals. However, this minor inconvenience didn't detract too much from the overall experience. While I'm sure it doesn't affect the animals, the appearance from the outside also looked unkempt, but the inside conditions for the animals looked very well maintained.Despite this, I would definitely recommend a visit, especially given the tiny admission fee, which offers great value for money. Park Phoenix is a delightful place to explore and enjoy a peaceful day amidst nature.A bonus, it's right beside the Asian Art Museum with free admission, so it's easy to check that off the list as well.

Lovely place, didn’t expect much for the entry price but could have spent the whole day there. I’d like to go back with a nice camera and spend the day taking pictures of the plants, animals, fish, birds etc. There’s so much to see. Highly recommend it.

A relatively small but vibrant park with a lovely selection of animal life to have a look and ponder at.The Peaco*ck is particularly a character and will very happily approach you with tail out and shimmering!!We had an amazing hour or so wandering and enjoying the flora and fauna along with the animals & reptiles.A much recommended visit if your in the area!!!

It felt a bit "wrong time" - some parts of the park were abandoned - not sure if because of the season (middle of summer) or lack of attention - but we saw plenty of non existing plants (where the name card was left but no item itself). Not so many animals as well. It's nice place to have a slow stroll but don't expect too much - it needs some maintenance. There were kangaroos, lemurs, porcupine, otters, domeaticated animals and some birds. There is a section with insects, snakes and crocodile. But you can't compare to any proper Zoo - neither because of numbers, or size, or educational programme.It is a park. With tree climbing zone, kids area and cafeteria. So, probably going there with kids would make much more sense.

Such a great place to visit, an easy Island to get around. We took the public ferry across from the mainland port, $38 return for 2 people.

We took a shuttle to access the island. The staff was nice and friendly. The island was crouded but there were enough places for everyone. Tha water was clear, the hike through the woods was fun. The statues underwater were not easy to find but it was exciting to look for them. I loved that journey and would definitely come back again.

Great island! One can walk around the island by foot. Don't forget to bring to eat and drink. There's only one place to buy and it's next to the ferry station.

It is a nice place for families. We were there on Saturday and I expected to see crowded place, but in fact it wasn’t feel like that. Territory is big and you can easily find what to do. There are few kids playground, cafes, big aquariums with huge variety of fish. My child liked seal show the most. Tunnel with sharks is fantastic as well. I recommend this place to visit if you are in Cannes, Antibes or Nice. It worth it.

A pure moment of happiness shared with the Orcas. Very little people. The shows are very educational. The park is at human dimension not too big. Practical entrance with easy parking system. Subway is there. You also have an amusem*nt park that was closed during my visit.

I've never visited France, nor do I speak French and the staff were so friendly and accommodating!I care deeply for the welfare of captive cetaceans and I was delighted to see how engaged and active both the dolphins and orcas were, even outside of shows. They always had some form of enrichment, and it was fascinating to see the orcas making up "games" or working together of their own volition to try and retrieve a toy that was stuck on a ledge. It was a shame part of the park is closed off to visitors for weekdays - such as the seals, dolphin lagoon and orca stadium - so best to visit on a weekend though this means all the shows are significantly busier and the park was pretty much empty on the weekdays.When booking the VIP it was a little unclear what the orca experience entailed, causing some confusion for me and my friend. I booked the package, so got to go up to the glass for photos and up close to the show pool during a demonstration while my friend booked just the orca experience and got an up close look at Inouk in a back pool.The VIP is SO worth it - pro tip! If you're interested in your photos from the photographer, ask to pay for them to email you the photos, this isn't something they advertise but are happy to do it. For prints you'll be paying a fortune.All the staff are friendly and transparent, and were happy to answer any questions we had about any of the animals. I really want the orcas to stay, rather than being transferred to another park.

In general the place is nice and the staff is really kind, only the fact that almost all the restaurant inside were closed (just one was open) was a little disappointing..and the food was not even that good. Apart from that,it was a good experience.

It has a nearby parking that costs 11 € where you can park your car under beautiful pine trees. There are two restaurants offering a good choice of refreshments and foods. Highly recommended for families with kids. Make sure to get there early as it gets busy very quickly.

A 40 minute guided visit inside in this not so big grotte/cave for the family. Beautiful stalactites that were created as years passes by. Just be careful when going down as to not fall as the path can be slippery. I wouldnt recommend going down with handicap young kids that have trouble walking. The entrance fee was reasonable.

Beautiful jewel of an afternoon out. I would suggest trainers for this 40 minute exploration of a grotto to discover a secret underground world. The tour is about 40 minutes and is in groups of around 10. The history of the formations is fascinating and the kids loved it. The Nex door there is an accrobranche zip line facility which the kids would like, but it was raining on our visit. Drive up to St Cezaire is beautiful also and there is free parking on site. Well worth a visit.

We visited on a Sunday in February and it was a great time to go. Only a handful of people were on the French/English tour. The guide was approx 45 mins while we winded through the cave passages. It was well done, lots of interesting information along the way. Be careful as it can get slippery and there are some low parts that you need to crouch down. Not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. 15 degrees no matter what season. A lovely shop at the entrance to purchase souvenirs. Well worth a visit especially for children, it was such a great experience!

Iconic view over Toulon. At least a 5-10 degrees Celsius colder too which is really refreshing on hot summer days. Parking here was for free, just ask for the coin. Limited availability though. Up hill you will find multiple locations for a great view, a world war II memorial site with tank and an aircraft-defense cannon, 2 restaurants and even a little zoo. Must see!

We went here on the recommendation of a family member and were not disappointed. What a fantastic abbey that is still in it's original condition. You can take a 1 hour guided tour or take the map and tour on your own. If you would like a guided tour in a different language than French, make sure you call ahead and request the language you would like for your tour. The atmosphere here was very peaceful. Plenty to photograph and appreciate. Would definitely recommend a tour here if you are in the area. Well worth it.

It is a small charming church on the top of the Roc mountain in the heart of Castallon village. From the first sight it seems like the mountain is too steep to climb, but indeed there are two not difficult at all trails, leading to the church and the panoramic viewpoint over the village.I took the Chemin du Croix (Christ Path) from the village center. To come back if you need to take another path, take right side on the crossing, it will lead you through the splendid view over the Notre Dame du Roc and the Old Tower.There is no accessible way to the church though, only hiking one.Inside of the church one will find lots of gratitudes from 18th century and till nowadays. Very touching.

An amazing place. If you are ever close to Castellane an can set aside at least one day the town is worth a visit. If you are fit enough, capable of walking at least 2 miles with a steep gradient most of the way the walk up the Chemin du Roc to the Chapelle Notre Dame du Roc has some amazing views in all directions, once at the top the views are awesome. To top it all is a beautiful chapel perched atop the rock. Very much worth the effort.

We drove around the Verdin Gorge area during early October and took our time enjoying the fall colors and stopping at most viewpoints for over four hours so we only touched the surface of this gorgeous (pun intended :) ) area. Not many cars were on the road during our visit and the water level appeared to be very low.

This location is absolutely breathtaking. The crystal-clear water creates a stunning vista that's truly awe-inspiring. It's a must-see destination for anyone seeking natural beauty and serenity.

One of the most beautiful hikes I habe ever done.Absolutely stunning views!It took us around 5h, so be prepared and got enough water.We parked our car at Sublime and took a taxi to Maline chalet for around 35€.This hike is worth every struggle, you should try it out yourself!

Before I went there, I read a lot about the Verdon Canyon. I thought my family should see it, but it wouldn't be anything special. I was completely wrong. Photos don't do justice to the beauty of this natural wonder. The canyon is deep, surrounded by mountains, and a river flows below. We reached the lake and rented a small boat to go deep into the canyon. An extraordinary experience. I higly recommend this place.

Incredible place in the Provence of France. The ride towards the gorge has stunning views. The bridge over the gorge offers an amazing view of the river and a chance for breathtaking photos. You can rent a canoe or a small boat to navigate inside the river for a more enhanced experience.

Amazing landscape. We drove all the way along the left and then the right bank and enjoyed the drive and views all the way. If not up to it, just go along the right bank until the Point Sublime. The Pont de l’Artuby is quite spectacular.

Great place to visit in September ! We took catamaran for 1,5 hours and enjoyed the trip to the fullest !

It’s definitely a must see place if you are in Provence. This is the beautiful raw nature that leaves you in awe. Highly recommend renting a kayak or catamaran, the prices are reasonable. The place is worth enjoying it, admiring, taking photos, riding a boat and swimming in the river. But to me it’s not really the place where you can relax on the shore due to the lack of facilities. And this is ok, as this place is what you want to admire. During the high season I suggest coming early morning, around 09.00 or max 10.00

Absolutely great theming!!!! I also loved the Gold Rush Ride! No extreme thrill rides here but that’s ok. The western theme was so greatly done. Also we went around Halloween and there was a lot of Halloween decorations too. Loved it!!

I've been there many times. In the spring they always have an amazing illusion show there of Magic Unlimited. The western themed park is nice and suitable for families with young children. They are also improving on their variety of attractions and always building new stuff.

We went there on a Friday in July. There was basically no need to wait for all the facilities. There were performances more or less every two hours. The actors and actresses were very very professional, and the attitude of all the staffs were very nice even when the kids kept asking for playing the same game repeatedly. Children under one meter are free, and there are many items to play. Very good experience! Great for little ones.

Brilliant place for kids! We are a 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 family down here on vacation/holiday and came for a day of non-beach activity. Stayed the entire day and had a blast. Great value! The whole place had a perfect balance of having lovely staff and being well organized but without a corporate feel or sense of being robbed at every opportunity. Free parking was a good start and easy quick on entrance ticket purchase. Queues were none existent or light (we visited in peak of summer season) and plenty of places to buy a quick or proper restraunt lunch. Also plenty of benches in the shade for a packed lunch (very impressed with this as the places to sit in the shade with your own food were plentiful - something you dont see in US/UK - saw one guy with a full cool box! - not to crowded for a stroller or even a litte wagon). Clean WCs had drinking water fountains outside that you could actually get a decent bottle under! This and the Splash Park area were fantastic to stay hydrated and cool so wear or bring a bathing suit in the bag 😎

It was an excellent day in OK Corral and the great way to end our summer vacation. We visited during the peak season and the hottest week in summer but we enjoyed the rides without waiting too long it is because the rides are well varied for different ages and height. My son who is 4 years old and 1m13 enjoyed almost all the major attractions. There are also great rides for the little ones. The best part is they have a water attraction so we put on our swimsuits and it's an instant relief from the strong summer heat. It helped a lot to enjoy the park in the afternoon refreshed by this water attraction. The employee also makes sure that you take a good soak before entering for sanitary purposes. The park is clean as we see the staff go around and check the cleanliness of the park. Sad for disrespectful people who throws their cigarette butts everywhere. Great spectacle also showing cowboys and indians - which showed somehow the truth of western story. Good job!

The park is a lot of fun in itself but beware the food catering is horrible, truly disgusting and shamelessly overpriced. Come with your own food and drinks and you'll have a great time there with the kids

Had a great day at OK Corral. We took a family with children aged from 6 to 16 and there was enough to satisfy both age groups. The park was extremely well-maintained. Despite being busy, it didn't feel over- crowded and we didn't have to wait long for any ride. Despite not speaking French, we enjoyed a couple of the shows. Highly recommended for a family day out.

I can only give bad stars because when I was there with my family and 2 more families on the way we accidently found the place while staying at CapFun , we walk in after being checked by very strange security guys. specially the big and large badly dressed and smelling guy we finally came to cashier. And when I almost was going to Pay the big Large ugly guy came to me 5 minutes later telling me I can not go in with my sweeming thing. I kept telling him was not but he didn't care, he just told me I could not go inn Like that, so I pulled back my card from the paying machine and informed the cashier that this Guy was a bad bad thing for the business of the Area, I took my family and Left and the other 3 families didnt wish to come either .I call this shame on directory to have such an ugly bad smelling and impolite security people working there , he didnt know the difference between short and Sweeming penty.

Wild west theme park with tons of performances. Have you seen a ride on a bison or Zorro drama while having a lunch? 40 Euro for two hours pedalling. The place is like an open air swimming pool, really good vibes. If you are passing by, stop for it. It is really worth it. 2-3 hours stay is a must to enjoy the canyon and the lake. Calculate ~30-60min waiting time to be able to enter to the lake with a boat. have fun!

It is a nice museum in a nice building but we just couldn’t believe that all information was only in French. They even didn’t have printed materials in foreign languges. We used an English audio guide but it was incomplete. The multimedia presentation could use subtitles (even in French).And cherry on top was an arrogant commentary of a receptionist that we could learn there some French. Just wow.

Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed by this museum. The building is good and there a few good features, but overall, there was too much text and some artifacts but little to keep children and adults alike captivated.Even if the content itself is very interesting and detailed, an overhaul of the main exhibit would be welcome to better match today's expectations for a museum.As a side note, please be aware that all text is in French only.Also, the "prehistoric village" nearby is quite nice.

Excellent museum. My kids and I loved this place and I will have to return to take in all of the permanent exhibit. The layout of the permanent exhibit is elegant. I would highly recommend getting the headphones (available in several languages). They are available at no extra cost and add tremendously to the value of the displays.

Very beautiful!! Can be a long hike depending on your entrance. Going from Les Baumettes is a nicer hike but longer. There is also a part that is quite steep.Luminy entrance is shorter distance but you don’t see as much on the hike.No reservation needed. Overall, no matter your hiking route it is worth the effort.Water is crystal clear and can be a bit cold but it is just what you want after a sweaty hike.

Amazing, crystal clear water with beautiful nature. There are many different hiking routes with helpful information on the way that shows you the path.Lovely place with sweaty tanned joggers and students that welcome you along the beautiful hiking route. If you are feeling dangerous there is a little climbing route down to the beach with chains that have an SM feel to it. Went with my girlfriend and she looked great the whole trip. Ten out of ten. Place was nice too!

Nice place for kids aged upto 12-13 year. Kids can explore animal plus can also learn feeding animals.Rides and adventure are good.Few rides are not working.

The place is nice for kids, on Thursdays and Sundays they are open till midnight with karoke and music.When we went, the water games weren't available.There are some animals which kids would appreciate and lots of games and rides for kids.Highly recommended for kids.When we went in the night, the guy who operates the giant wheel wasn't available and didn't cube even after calling him, that's why reduced a star, other than this it was a very good experience.

Everything was good ,but online it says that you not supposed to use bikini but on site is totally different :) you should wear the bikini and it's not allowed to go to the water with short even to look after your kids . I would be more happy if there was some animation show made for children but there wasn't :( Everything else was good :) children had fun , food good ,ice creams and pancakes. Lovely animals and friendly staff . They are toilets there ,place where you can seat and eat your lunch ,but not any changing rooms or locker to put your bag for safety. You can take the pushchair for the baby but it's not so easy to drive it there ;)

Small park/farm for families. Kids love it. Farm animals are beautiful and seem healthy. It's now possible to buy family meals on site . The park seems small but it's actually larger than it looks and can easily keeps kids busy for 3-4 hrs. Owners and employees are nice and helpfull, but there are not many of them. Recommended for families with young kids (from 2 to 12) to spend a day close to farm animals with a funny and simple playground, we will surely return.

An affordable way to buy 3 hours of peace, while kids enjoy and release all their energy, you can have some time for yourself. My last visit here was 7 years ago. They improved some parts with new things while other things remained the same. The woman at the reception as you arrive is welcoming and nice, while the girl and the guy at the food stand selling crepe and drinks could have been more welcoming, less frowning and perhaps get better training from fellow people from the service industry.Lovely place for the summer, a short stop for the young kids. One round for the summer is enough, a second round would be boring already.Bring your own towel, some cold drinks, a face spray to cool off.Went this August 2022 with 3 kids (12, 10 and 8 years old).

We recently visited,we can easily visit this place with @google maps help. You can take help of local transportation as well but if u wish to take walk it hardly 10 minutes walk from main city centre.Cost 5 💶 +1 Europe if you want to visit one more place which is just 5 minutes of walk.It is clean and you need to wear mask 😷 and health pass is mandatory (if you are Indian and you had taken 2 dose that certificate is valid).They have audio guide were you can select multiple languages and understand that. They had security guards also if need you can ask them also but for better understanding prefer audio guide. It will cost 3 euro💶 per place. So total 6 euro for both. It is little heavy on your pocket bt if you have interest then worth spending.If you are a person who have interest in art, history then this is a go to place.Duration can be 2 hours if you go into details.

I added the audio guide. I didn’t realize until near the end of the exhibit that the small plain white stickers with numbers are also for the audio guide. Not just the darker colored stickers that have a number and the headphone symbol.The paintings were beautiful and I enjoyed audio guide gives an in-depth review. Definitely recommended because all of the captions are in French. I’m shocked they don’t at least have the English translations for any of the written words next to artwork.

Nice place to spend a few hours. Lots to see, including a plethora of statues in the lower level. There was a David Hockney exhibition on when we were there.

Amazing place. Hundreds of interesting paintings and sculptures. Antiquity section is very small, but medieval, baroque, romantic and neo-classical period (between 14th-19th century) are represented with hundreds of artwork. Worth the ticket price.

They have an excellent collection of sculptures. The rest of the museum didn't impress me so much (including the temporary Hockney exhibition). It's still worth a visit while in Aix.

It was nice however I preferred La Chapelle with its beautiful collection of artwork from Cézanne, many of Picasso, a couple of Monet, and some others. All exhibited in a converted chapel.

Your €6.50 ticket gives you access to two art galleries, the Musee Granet and the Collection Jean Planque, which is a 5 minute walk away.The Musee Granet will take around 30-40 minutes to wander round. The ticket included access to all the exhibitions so it was a great value.

It was a nice museum with some beautiful paintings and sculptures .. However my goal of visiting was to see the temporary Egyptian Exibition .. It has very beautiful pieces of Egyptian Art but the most inspiring for me was the Lizard's mummy which is believed to be the only one of its kind in the world .. I'm Egyptian and was happy to see such thing for the first time .. The ticket to this museum gives access to a nearby smaller art Museum as well ..

The main museum has a nice collection of modern pieces, but what really stands apart is the Planque collection in the chapel annex, a few blocks away. Really amazing collection of 20th century paintings donated by a former art curator who personally knew all the artists.

Absolutely delightful lunch experience. Delicious food, friendly service and the most lovely garden setting. The service was prompt and very pleasant. Very happy to recommend and would certainly return when back in Aix en Provence.

Not only a beautiful museum but also an amazing cafe and a must visit. It is beautiful inside and you must go outside to see the manicured gardens. The interior was well appointed with beautiful furniture and colours to match. The menu is varied, from French cuisine to an Asian inspired salad. Today I had a co*ke zero and the Plat de jour, Risotto with fois gros and perfectly cooked duck for 22€. The wine and drinks list was extensive and they serve local Rose. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable and very attentive. The service was quick even during the peak lunch time rush.

Located just south of Cour Mirabeau, the Hotel de Caumont is actually a museum (don't be confused by the preface "hotel" which just means home). In this case, the home was owned by an aristocratic family in pre-revolutionary France and the owners have an interesting history interconnected with European royalty.The building is beautifully restored as are the surrounding grounds and the small garden. Inside, the first two rooms (music room and bedroom) are equally exquisite. But that is all there is to see of that ornately decorated period.Following those rooms was an exhibit on a totally tangentially related artist called Yves Klein who was a post-modern "blue" artist. Very inconsistent with the setting.For the cost of 14.50 Euro per visitor I do not think it is worth it...or at least if you are not as interested in Yves Klein. We would have loved to have seen more of the beautifully restored 18th century rooms instead.

The museum hosts lots of different exhibitions throughout the year. I visited the one dedicated to Mucha and his artworks. I was really impressed. The building itself is unique. There you can find a tea salon decorated with old furniture. The facility of the museum is modern. Your visit may be accompanied with an audioguide. I recommend buying tickets in advance.

Beautiful place, but the visit depends a lot on the current exhibition. They have a lovely cafe, with rich decoration and different wallpapers for each room. Oh and such a beautiful little garden! I do think the entry is a bit expensive, 14 euros per person.

This is a lovely museum which is currently featuring a Bonnard exhibit. It is beautifully organized and very interesting. Don't miss it if you are in Aix. Avoid the weekend! I went during the week.

Excellent small museum in a beautiful building. The Guggenheim collection was perfectly presented. The light, the explanations (both in French and English), the arrangements were excellent. Nice museum shop. There is a classic French restaurant that looked very good although we have not tried.

Exhibition showing at the moment on painter Pierre Bonnard and the Japanais movement. Lots of his works and Japanese prints. Of interest to some. I thought the price of admission was pretty steep.There are also a few rooms that capture the 18th century origins of the mansion, a garden, and a cafe.In the first building where you buy your tickets, a movie about Cezanne was showing. You are allowed in only when the film starts, about every 30 minutes.The place is not good for people unable to climb stairs. There is a lift, which the staff have to call, to view the film, but they left us to make our way up steps to get to the main building. Once there another staff operated lift will take you up and down to view the exhibition. Forget the garden though, more stairs.

Up to now, since it's opening, all the exhibitions I had the joy to visit have been a wonderful time. It's a place I highly recommend you visit this museum. 👍😍🤩

Very nice street dedicated mainly to walkers, with lots of different choices of cafes and restaurants, also several shopping places and banks, very good for spending the day.

Cours Mirabeau is miraculously beautiful with maple trees on either sides keeping shades while you traverse from king Réné’s statue until the rotonde fountain.Along with king’s statue fountain, there are two other fountain on two crossings on the cours Mirabeau. One is the thermal stream and other one is 9 fountains. The water still comes from Mont St Victoire.Cours Mirabeau is the most important place of Aix. With lots of stone benches, restaurants, cinema halls, utility shops and street performer; this corridor is an experience in itself.

Beautiful street but on our visit, our group bought little but all were ready! Did not find it reminiscent of Paris fashion district however it is beautiful and found a few interesting items.

Such a disappointment. Whilst a beautiful place which does come to life when a morning or evening market is around, the place has lost its shine. What was once a stand out street just a few years ago full of authentic Provençal restaus and cafes is now almost entirely faceless and personality-less pizzerias. And sadly not the type you find in Italy! Sub par food, over the odds prices, and poor service

Beautiful well taken care street with nice cafes and pastry shops all around.

This is the Aix version of Times Square. Though picturesque, nothing notable lives on the street. The restaurants all looked middling, the shops chains.The Saturday market was a disappointment as it largely sold cheap clothing. I did hope for more local goods and antiques.

This is one of the best place we have visited in south of France. Citadelle is beautiful. And the view from the top is mesmerising.🏞️🏰🏞️🏰🏞️

Visited the lovely town of Sisteron and found a parking spot in the centre of town ( free of charge on a sunday)Well worth a visit to see the old town surrounded by imposing mountains.

Wow! Wow! Wow!Talk about awesomeness, this is one of it.Put on your walking/hiking shoes then work up a bit of sweat but well worth it.Entrance per adult is €7.10, which is a steal with the views that this citadel presents.“A picture speaks a thousand words”.

Beautiful historic fort of Sisteron. Fort is very well maintained. This fort has entrance fees; 7 euros for an adult and 3 euros for a kid (prices when we visited in April 2023).

Beautiful citadel on top of the mountain. The price of the tickets to enter are all worth it. We visited on a super warm day but we were prepared and bring enough water.When following the patch (Green arrows) there is lots of information provided about the history of the Citadel and the Historical city of Sisteron.I can't remember exactly but there were like 12 or maybe even more defensive lines built in the complex of the Citadel. Impressive system made of pull up bridges, small stairs, arrow / shooting holes, watch towers. Invaders did not make a change thinking about that. Very interesting!There is a possibility to go all the way to the highest point into the tower on top of the Citadel. Stunning view from there but actually the view is amazing from everywhere.Not recommended to go on flip flops because of the walking up and downhill.

There is a charge for access, but it is quite reasonable. A family of five was paid in for €20.You can either catch the small train which drives around the town, or walk up. I would advise walking as the train was expensive. The walk is not too bad, it is signposted from the citadel base and takes about 10 minutes, though if you have a disability, there is a disabled parking area. Parking in the town is abundant, again I would advise you to park near the citadel.Almost all of videos, and signage within the citadel is in French; there are some in English but this doesn't particularly detract from the visit. It is a walk and wonder type thing, gaining more from the views and looking around inside. Worth visiting if I'm the Sisteron area.Average visit time is about 2 hours.

Really interesting citadelle built in many different centuries. Worth going just fir the view of the area but also a great historical experience.

Magnificent panoramic views from the top. Climb is moderate but worth it. Audio points are there in multiple languages to let you know about the history. Great experience 👍

Lovely place we spent about an hour and a half here. Gorgeous views and beautiful to walk around in and learn from the history. Here and there a sound poles and they tell you a story, even in Dutch!

Nice visit, I appreciate the audio guides detailing the history along the way! Its a stunning structure very impressively perched on a unique rock formation. Great views of surroundings! Seven euros not too bad - I spent about 2 hours here!

This path of ochre sands is bit more wild than the one in Roussillon, has less amenities. The longer track resembles light hiking, rather than walk in the park as in Roussillon.

Nice place to spend a couple of hours, easy to park your car, your motorcycle, cycle. Two paths, one of 45mn and longer than 1h30 but both very easy and often shaded.

Beautiful canyon walking area. We bought tickets in advance for the 11h slot. Was afraid it was going to be crowded, but was pleasantly surprised. We did the long loop and only crossed a handful of other hikers. Lots of knowledgeable rangers around. Easy path ways and some great viewpoints. There's also some picnic tables in the parking lot so you can have lunch there.You can follow my travels @revelintravel

Such a gem in France. I recommende to visit this place in spring winter or autumn. It might be very hot during summer and there are no shade on the hiking/walking tracks. You can take a picnic and spend some time in the Park. There are tables and benches everywhere . A hat and sunscreen is à must. The whole visit is about 2hr.

This was gorgeous! The place didn’t steal its name, it really does look like you are in Colorado. The great heights, the beautiful colours. There are two trails, the long route is 1h45min and the short route is 35min. Today was super hot so we decided to go for the short one, although I reckon under cooler weather conditions we would have picked the long one. It’s amazing, I did not suspect to find such a place in France and I can’t help wonder why this place together with the Sentier des Ocres in Roussillon are not more popular around France and the world.

It costs €8 to park the car in high season. There are two options for the walk. We did the longer one, which involves a climb, but you get good viewpoints. We enjoyed the different scenery.

Nice place to visit, the colors of vegetals / minerals of the canyon are bluffing.The parking is really big and easy to enter in.Planning some refreshments is a good idea as the only place near the entrance offering drinks, food and restroom is quite expensive for the goods proposed and the big loop is quite long to make (and hot of course during summer time).

A beautiful place to explore with 2 marked paths. It really feels as though you're in a desert landscape. Parking costs 5€ per car for the day. There are also a couple of places where you can buy a drink and a snack.

I have trouble with long walks, especially with inclines, so this trek was somewhat difficult for me. However, by taking it slowly, I was able to make it to the actual site of the ochre hills. Have to say it was worth the hike. Thankfully it was sunny but cool. It's quite an unusual sight ; very photogenic.

Entrance point to the so-called Colorado Canyon. It has all required facilities, cafeteria, water and chill place in the shadow to have a rest after the exciting walk via the Colorado. There is a paid parking, do not try to find any free one, because the parking fee contains 6 tickets to visit the Colorado. Plan around 3 hours to visit this place.

Nice walk with some amazing views. The warning that the orange path is on the difficult side is not for nothing, but an experienced hiker will do the trek in under an hour instead of the 1.45.
